On 30th September 2009 on the operation table of Lake Shore Hospital, Kochi, took birth an institution - Kidney Federation of India - when it’s founder Chairman, Fr. Davis Chiramel’s kidney was successfully transplanted on Mr Chakkamadathil Gopinathan, an electrician hailing from a poor family in his forties.
